Why do families want a memorial tribute?
- Memorial tributes help to tell the story of a life lived.
- Memorial tributes also provide a sense of quality and
thoughtfulness to each service, leaving a lasting impression
on all who attend.
- Memorial DVD’s provide the family with a visual
keepsake to pass down to their children and help keep the
memories of their loved ones alive.
Memorial tributes are not exactly
a new concept. As a matter of fact, it is a relatively old
idea. A memorial tribute is used to honor the life a person
lived – from beginning to end, usually highlighting
that person’s achievements throughout his or her life.
In the past, many different variations of these tributes were
created. Some people wrote stories, even books about their
loved ones, while others put together photo albums, collages,
or, in some cases, wrote songs to commemorate their loved
one’s life. As technology became more advanced, so did
the forms of memorial tributes. People began creating slideshows
and videos depicting their loved one in photos and video throughout
their life. While everyone has their own idea of how to commemorate
the departed, DVD video tributes are definitely becoming the
most popular method for bereaved friends and families to remember
their loved ones.
Though video tributes are becoming
very popular among people who have lost someone, there are
still many people who are not familiar with this idea. Many
people believe that when they lose someone, the only things
they can remember them by is their former belongings. As almost
any family who has lost someone close will recognize, there
are many problems with this. The loss of a family member is
never easy, and finding ways to remember that person is usually
not any easier. This is when a video tribute becomes very
useful and practical. Families will come together to watch
their loved one’s tribute, and honor that person’s
life. A video tribute is, in fact, a way to celebrate a person’s
life, instead of mourning their death. A video tribute is
great for people who have lost someone, and want a keepsake
to remember them by forever. While nothing can take away the
pain of losing someone, a video tribute will definitely make
it a bit easier.
The video tribute generally
consists of pictures and/or videos of the departed, along
with background images or videos which help tell the story
of that person’s life. They usually have commemorative
music which helps set the mood for the tribute. For example,
if the person enjoyed the outdoors, their tribute would have
a central theme involving the country. They would be depicted
as they were in life, a lover of the outdoors. If that person
enjoyed country music, the tribute could incorporate relaxing,
commemorative country music to help set the mood. By utilizing
these things, a tribute can really capture who that person
was in life, and, in turn, will really commemorate that person’s
life. When making accommodations for a loved one, be sure
to inquire about memorial tributes. It will be a valuable
keepsake that you will treasure as long as you will live.
